BCA 9, First Baptist Christian Academy Pasadena 2

Former TAPPS district rival First Baptist Christian Academy of Pasadena visited Baytown today and was sent home with a defeat at the hands of your Bulldogs 9-2. Austin Wilson picked up the win on the mound, working the deciding fourth inning. Seven Bulldog pitchers each pitched an inning on the day as we prepare for the state tournament next week. Sophomore Grant Harber started, Wesley Winn pitched the second, Ryan Bertram the third, and Bradley Armstrong the fifth as the first five hurlers all posted zeroes on the scoreboard. Clay Wiseman and Jake Garcia pitched the sixth and seventh innings, respectively, and each allowed one run.

BCA led from the second inning on thanks to a mammoth two-run homerun to centerfield off the bat of junior slugger Bertram. Austin Wilson led the way offensively with three runs batted in and two hits as he reached base safely all four times at bat. Tyler Wilson and Bradley Armstrong added two hits on the day as everyone in the lineup contributed to the strong offensive display. With our record now 18-9, we host the Brazosport Eagles Thursday at 4 PM. Brazosport has beaten us twice this season in two very competitive slugfests, so we feel its our turn to hang a loss on them.
