BCA 8, Northeast Christian 2

Wesley Winn pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs today, allowing one earned run on four hits with four strikeouts in his seven innings of work. He had solid command of the strike zone and controlled the Warrior line-up from the first inning, when he got the first of two inning-ending double plays on the day. The effort was Winn's finest outing of the season as he continues to get sharper and sharper with each outing in his sophomore campaign.

The entire Bulldog lineup helped Winn at the plate today. The biggest offensive blow of the game was freshman Cameron Gregory's two-run double in the fourth inning that gave BCA the lead for the first time in the game, a lead that Winn would never surrender. Gregory had a fantastic week at the plate, following up his strong effort Tuesday with his double, 2 runs batted in, and a run scored today. Ryan Bertram reached base safely all four times up to bat and finished his day with three hits, a double, and a walk. Bertram saw and end to his three game homerun streak, but he did cross the plate three times on the day.

Clay Wiseman and Boogie Russell both had two hits and two runs batted in, while Tyler Wilson and Bradley Armstrong picked up a big base hits of their own. Wilson reached base three out of his four trips to the plate, twice on walks, and Armstrong lined a towering fly ball over the centerfielder's head for an RBI triple in the sixth inning.

Next up your 15-7 BCA Bulldogs host district foe Mount Carmel on Tuesday at 4 PM, so come on out and cheer the Bulldogs to victory.
